Für alle die’s nicht mitbekommen haben, es geht um den “Aktionstag zur Verteidigung von Bildung”: http://www.defendeducation.org/

Hi, this is a (translated) copy of the newsletter we’ve sent to the assemblies and students here in Barcelona, it includes the bare details of the actions that took place in the US this March 4th and other students actions in the UK and South Africa. We’ve tried to organise the information from different blogs into one list, but it’s not going to be perfect. So to any group we’ve let down: send your communiqués, videos, etc!
Email links are included (where possible) to send solidarity messages to groups which have suffered particular violence and arrests.

March 4 was a national day of strike and protest in the U.S. under the slogan “Defend Public Education”. Recently there have been major cuts in public funding coupled with increases in the price of tuition. In California there was a 33% increase in tuition fees this year.

In this “virtual protest” you can add your name and comment to a map where the demonstration was held:

There has also been a student protest in South Africa, where activists are demanding free university education for the poor. Students picketed the University of Johannesburg with burning tires and demonstrated in the streets, they were dispersed with water cannons by the police.
