Since the past few days saw quite some protests, I will list those that I can think of now:
* March1st: Over 200 staff and students at the University of Westminster [UK] protested and stormed the board of governors meeting and occupied the vice-chancellors office, in regard to recently proposed tutoring and administrative job cuts.

* March1st: More than a dozen students from several University of California campuses [U.S. of A.] arrived unannounced at the office of California Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento). They asked Steinberg to sign a statement that he would only support a budget that increases public university funding and allocates additional funding for multicultural student programs. Steinberg didn’t sign. [...]
The students fared better than a separate group that approached Assemblyman Jim Nielsen (R-Yuba City) with the same statement, but were turned away. Five refused to leave and were arrested by police; all were released later Monday evening.

* March3rd: Over 200 students and staff at University College London [UK] joined a demonstration at the Gower Street Campus. They were demonstrating against cuts that the management of UCL, one of the richest universities in the world, is planning to make.

* March3rd: Students at Sussex University [UK] occupied part of their university following a campus carnival – but were attacked by riot police armed with dogs and pepper spray.
At around 5.30pm, occupants peacefully left the building, after an earlier confrontation with the police, who had received backup from officers in riot gear and 2 more dogs. This resulted in the arrest of 2 students and the search of two more.
Students involved in the occupation were suspended from university by the management. [press release on suspension and arrests]
A petition was set up.

* March4th: * Students block university entrance, burn barricades * Police disperse students with water cannons * Students want free university education for poor
Police used a water tanker to spray protesting University of Johannesburg [South Africa] students in an attempt to disperse them from blocking the Bunting Road entrance to the campus. Lessons came to a halt as hundreds of students gathered outside.

* March4th: This day also saw protests at more than 100 locations across the U.S. of A. as part of a “National Day of Action in Defence of Public Education”. At some places thousands gathered and spaces were occupied on campus, but all of them were given up again – as far as I know. Here a video sample [roads blocked @ UC Davis; matial police video] + video channel [UCSD] + video of UC Irvine protest + pictures of protests in San Francisco. All together more than 150 people were arrested.
Here is a short list of media coverage done by United Teachers Los Angeles.
Further reports also available here.
